Magnetic couplings offer non-contact torque transmission. A magnetic coupling consists of two basic parts: Outer rotor, inner rotor. Both rotors have the same number of strong magnets, i.e. the same magnetic poles. Due to the attractive force between N-S opposite magnetic poles, outer rotor magnets and inner rotor magnets are magnetically coupled in pairs. When one rotor rotates, the other rotor rotates synchronously.
Magnet materials: Neodymium magnet, samarium cobalt magnet.
Features: Torque transmission using a magnetic field rather than a physical mechanical connection; static seal, excellent leak proof; suitable for corrosive, toxic, flammable liquid or gas transmission systems.
Magnetic coupling applications: Magnetic drive pumps, magnetic mixers.
